The Aesthetics of the Fight (Portuguese: “A Estética da Luta”) is a filmabout the Rio de Paz Movement featuring its peaceful, though impacting,demonstrations in noble areas of Rio de Janeiro city, from violent andshocking events that happened in low class areas and undemocratic actsacross the country, through strong images and media appeal, with thepurpose of alerting the public Power and the world of what’s beenhappening in Brazil. The film addresses different actions, ranging fromtributes to children killed by stray bullets, military police officers killed inthe line of duty, the 700 thousand dead by Covid-19, actions in prisons,violence against women, to the distribution of food in Jacarezinho favela,proving that Human Rights have no side.
